GEOREFERENCED CRUISING REFERENCE
Explore the coast, not just a list
Select a place marker directly on the embedded Google Satellite map to inspect its surrounding area and anchorage notes. These are broad area references — not anchoring coordinates, a route or a nautical chart.
ON-DEMAND FORECAST AT ANCHOR
Anchorage weather download
Choose an anchorage and fetch the latest forecast for its weather reference point. Download a dated CSV/JSON file and keep a local snapshot for offline review. This is NOT an official BoM forecast or warning service.

Next 72 hours at the selected reference point
AEST · every 3 hoursA smarter way to plan the passage south.
A live, searchable reference for NOMAD's stops, shelter alternatives, guide observations and skipper decisions. The schedule is an intention; the weather makes the plan.
Coastal route overview
Tap a stop for its Plan A entry. This is a schematic location sequence, not a geographic chart or track.

Planning philosophy
Always use current official forecasts, charts, Notices to Mariners and local advice. Guide descriptions are historical observations, not verified current conditions or approved navigation instructions.
DELIVERY PROGRAMME
Plan A — the passage south
Confirmed planning itinerary, 3–19 December 2026, with 20 December held as a buffer. Select a day to record the skipper's working notes or open a destination in the atlas.
Daily itinerary
Daily passage notes
Select a date from the itinerary to open a working entry.
Decision framework
Orca and Sereno are supporting routing tools; no live routes or forecasts are connected in v0.1.
SEARCHABLE CRUISING REFERENCE
Anchorage & contingency atlas
Condensed notes from the guide extracts, our Plan A and previous cruising-guide observations. Compare sites and add your own notes while aboard. Use charts for all actual navigation.
SKIPPER'S SHELTER COMPARISON
Compare anchorage options
Choose a coastal region and wind direction. Green indicates relative shelter described in the supplied guide; amber means limitations, red means an identified exposure, and grey means we lack enough source information. None indicates guaranteed safety.
A wind direction alone cannot determine an anchorage's suitability. Assess strength, swell direction, tidal range/current, storm changes, local restrictions and safe access.
VESSEL INTELLIGENCE
NOMAD field notes
Capture your own observations separately from published guide descriptions, with a date, location and author. Notes persist on this browser only until exported.

Backup & settings
All user-added notes, custom places and daily plan notes are stored in this browser. They are not automatically shared to phones, tablets or other crew devices.
Protect the data
Export a JSON backup after a planning session or day aboard. Keep copies somewhere secure, such as your usual synced file storage. A different browser/device will need an imported backup.
Bundled guide summaries and Plan A are fixed in v0.2. Resetting deletes your local additions only.
What v0.2 does and doesn't do
Available: searchable atlas, preloaded Plan A, schematic route, guide-sourced hazards and alternatives, wind-direction comparison, saved daily notes and field journal, custom places, and backups.
Not yet: official BoM forecasts, tide calculations, automatic Orca/Sereno import, crew synchronisation, hosting, integrated Operations/Maintenance Dashboard or conflict-free offline sync.
Information provenance
Guide-based entries are condensed summaries of selected pages shared from Greg Luck's Cruising the Queensland Coast, uploaded 2 November 2026, plus identified earlier sources. No guide pages or chartlets are reproduced here. Individual entries display their sources. Some entries await more source material.
Plan A confirmed by skipper on 22 October 2026; planned Keppel berth amendment and GCCM arrangements must be reconfirmed.
